No. We do not add on any extra charges for calls handled at certain times or on certain days. 24/7, 365 days a year our prices remain the same. Can Your Receptionists Patch Calls?
Yes. Our receptionists ask the caller to hold while we attempt to connect them to your provided number. If you are available and would like to take the call we will connect you to the caller.
Patching calls directly to you is the perfect way to transfer urgent calls, emergency call situations, and hot leads for your business. This is also an excellent way to receive your calls in general.


Do You Outsource Your Calls Overseas?
No. Our receptionists are US based. It is our belief that the service a US based operator can provide to your customers is superior to that of an overseas operator.


Who Would I Contact to Update My Script?
Our existing account holders may contact us to update their script, protocols, or answering service account information several ways. You may call your toll free or local forwarding number and ask to speak with a supervisor, contact customer service at 888.789.7207 or email Erin at el@mainvirtualoffice.com.

 

How Long Does it Take For You to Send Me a Message?
As soon as the call has ended, our receptionists will create the message and send it to you by your preferred method immediately. Should your answering service protocol state that you would not like to be contacted with each message; we will hold your messages and transmit them according to your specifications. Each account is customized, therefore we can send messages as quickly as your business requires.


Would We Have to Sign a Contract?
We do require your company to sign a month to month agreement before you retain our services. This will protect us and your business as we answer your calls. The fact that our agreements are never long term contracts forces us to perform to the highest level of satisfaction each and every month.
We simply require a 15 day notice for any cancellations should you decide to discontinue our services.


How Quickly Can an Account Be Set Up and Active?
We can, in most cases, have an account active within 24 hours. This includes: training our receptionists, reviewing your information with you, programming your information, as well as providing you with a number to forward your calls to us. With our larger accounts, set up can take from 48 hours to a week depending on the size of the account as more programming and operator training is involved.

May I Advertise the Toll-Free Phone Number Assigned to My Account?

Yes. You may use the toll free number that we assigned to you for advertising and in your marketing literature. Should you decide to discontinue use of our services, this number can be transferred to you at which time you will be responsible for billing and ownership of that phone number.


Is Call Forwarding Required to Use Your Answering Service?
No. Call forwarding is not required. Main Virtual Office will provide your own toll free number allowing us to answer every call. Main Virtual Office can also answer your existing phone number and in this case call forwarding is needed to send your phone number to our receptionists. Your toll free phone number (or direct to the call center number called a DID) can be provided for you to advertise directly to your clients. If you do have call forwarding, you can forward your phones to our answering service whenever you want our receptionists to answer your calls.
When the phone rings here (through call forwarding), your business information pops up on our computers to display your call answering information as the call is being answered.

 

What is Your Policy for Overages?
All of our packages include a certain number of minutes per month. If you exceed your monthly allotment of minutes, additional minutes will be billed at a low fixed rate. If you would benefit from a larger or smaller package, we can change your plan to save you money and prorate your most recent invoice if necessary.


Can I Get a Local Number For My Account?
Yes. We do offer you phone numbers from area codes across the country with your account.


Do you charge for the time I'm on the phone after a patch?
No. You are not charged extra for the length of time you spend on the line after a call is patched through to you.


Is My Information Kept Confidential?
Yes. Privacy is of the utmost importance to us. Your information will never be released to anyone unless for some reason it is court ordered. Confidentiality is our policy and we take it very seriously.

Can I Forward My Cell Phone to Your Answering Service?
Yes. Cellular phone carriers allow call forwarding options so that all of your calls can be answered by us. Depending on the carrier, this could be costly. Main Virtual Office offers a strategy to wean customers off of the cell number onto your brand new and unique toll free number.
While cell phone call forwarding is possible, we offer toll free phone numbers to advertise which will ring directly here separating your cell phone from business and personal use.

 

Do You Record a Voice Message for Us for Our Auto-Attendant or Voicemail?
Yes. Main Virtual Office offers several options for recording your company’s voice message. We have male and female voices you may choose from here on our staff, or if you prefer, you may also use someone from your own staff.


How Long Can Our Voicemail Greeting Be?
Your greeting can be as long, or as short as you would like as VM time is infinite. We do, however, recommend that you keep the message short and to the point. From a customer service perspective, it is best to capture your customers’ information as quickly as possible and your voicemail greetings should be used as a way to expedite your customers to their final call center destination.


If We Have VoIP, Can We Still Call Forward Our Business Lines to Your Answering Service?
Yes, Main Virtual Office is the call center for businesses using VoIP telephone service. While the instructions, restrictions and requirements vary depending upon your VoIP provider, Main Virtual Office can answer any VoIP phone. As with most call forwarding, your call forwarding with your VoIP service is most likely performed through *72 and *73. Again, this may vary carrier to carrier so please check with your VoIP carrier to learn more about the exact telephone keystrokes you need to engage in for VoIP call forwarding.
